Dragon Bound - Thea Harrison

Dragon Bound - Thea Harrison

About the book:
The first novel of the elder races, Dragon Bound begins a groundbreaking paranormal romance series from a talented new voice in the realm of dragons, danger and desire.
Half human and half wyr, Pia Giovanni spent her life keeping a low profile among the wyrkind and avoiding the continuing conflict between them and their dark fae enemies. But after being blackmailed into stealing a coin from the hoard of a dragon, Pia finds herself targeted by one of the most powerful - and  passionate - of the elder races.
As the most feared and respected of the wyrkind, Dragos Cuelebre cannot believe someone has the audacity to steal from him, much less succeed. And when he catches the thief, Dragos spares her life, claiming her as his own to further explore the desire they've ignited in each other.
Pia knows she must repay Dragos for her trespass, but refuses to become his slave - although she cannot deny wanting him, body and soul......

5/5

I received this book from Thea, and she signed it fr me. I have had this a few months now waiting to get around to reading it, and boy do i wish i had read it sooner. This book is the first in a new series for Thea, and  it follow Pia who is a half breed through a rough patch in her life being blackmailed by her ex boyfriend into doing something that is so stupid it is going to change the course of her life forever. She steals from the dragon king himself, thus then putting her quiet life that she wanted way into the past as she now has to go on the run from him. As he then captures her everything changes.
I loved this book from the start the story is captivating, enticing and thrilling all at the same time. Thea has done a fantastic job with the characters they are well rounded, and they have depth and emotion, as well as everyday flaws to their personalities. The world that surrounds the characters draws you in making you believe you are there, as well as wanting to be there. The fight and emotional scenes are so well written that you believe every emotion that is written down, and that that is how the characters would feel. The interaction between all of the characters is amazing especially between Dragos , his staff and Pia. It is both entertaining, serious ans emotional. I was kept captivated the whole way through and definitely will be heading over to read the next book in this series.
